Over 17 years, my work has spanned publishing, media, travel and tourism, and construction. I started in magazines at Rolling Stone and Us Weekly, moved into campaign work for Showtime, Universal McCann, and TodayTix, and for the past several years I've created pitch and brand materials at AECOM Tishman, including work on the redevelopment of JFK Airport.
Every one of those jobs came down to the same skill: translating a problem into a visual language that solves it.

The design isn't decoration. It's the argument. My job is to understand what's at stake, find the visual system that makes the case, and execute it cleanly.
I've also made AI part of my daily practice. I use it to move faster, explore more directions, and push work further than a solo designer could a few years ago. The designers who thrive next will be the ones who can pair taste and judgment with these new capabilities, and that's exactly where I've positioned myself.
I care about the details, I hit deadlines, and I'm comfortable presenting my own work.
When I'm not designing, I'm in Harlem with my partner and our two dogs, Ralph and Andy, who have strong opinions about my deadlines.
If you'd like to talk, I'd be glad to hear from you.
